Art and luxury goods made from wild animal materials testify to an enduring, human desire for beauty, but also to the harm to wild animal populations. The Walters Art Museum’s Education staff will explore with participants how the artworks on display convey society’s evolving relationship with nature and provide an opportunity for reflection and reconciliation.

During this workshop, you will…

  • Engage in a guided tour of our special exhibition Luxury and Loss: Feather, Shell, Tusk, Horn
  • Create your own work of art
  • Connect and build community with other educators
  • Learn about free tours and opportunities for you and your students at the Walters

This event is for teachers, administrators, support staff, and informal educators.
