Location: Walters Cafe
Registration is requested but not required.
How can you reimagine an existing artwork to reflect a contemporary narrative? Tell your story in conversation with works in the Walters’ collection and contribute to a collective museum with fellow Make and Mingle participants. Afterward, we encourage you to visit the works of contemporary artists Jackie Milad, Tsedaye Makonnen, Stephanie Mercedes, and more, whose work speaks to our historic collection in their own way.
First Thursdays: Make and Mingle is a drop-in program designed for adults to get creative and socialize. We supply all the materials to make art together. A selection of food and drink will be available for purchase, so you can enjoy a glass of wine, coffee, or a snack while you’re crafting. College students can show their student ID for one free cup of coffee. Shop at the Museum Store after you’re done creating and receive a 10% discount on store purchases (20% for supporters). Not a supporter? Give today!
Thursday Nights are sponsored by T. Rowe Price.
