First Thursdays: Make and Mingle

Thursday, November 6, 2025, 6–7:30 p.m.
Museum visitors enjoying the cafe

Location: Walters Cafe
Registration requested but not required.

Visitors can enjoy the visual qualities and subject matter of 19th-century paintings in gilded frames on view in Hackerman House. What would you do with the opportunity to make a similar artwork of your own? Portray a scene from your life as if it were a historical or scenic 19th-century painting! This program is inspired by the installation of 19th-century paintings in Level 2 of 1 West Mount Vernon Place opening on October 30.
