First Thursdays: Make and Mingle

Thursday, October 3, 2024, 6–7 p.m.
Adults collaborate on a paper cutting activity

Location: Walters Cafe
No registration is required.

Honoring Indigenous People’s Day in the month of October, we invite you to create a mini textile inspired by some of the pieces in our Ancient Americas collection.

First Thursdays: Make and Mingle is a drop-in program designed for adults to get creative and socialize. We supply all the materials to make art together. A selection of food and drink will be available for purchase, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a snack while you’re crafting. College students can show their student ID for one free cup of coffee. Shop after you’re done creating to receive a 10% discount  on store purchases (20% for supporters). Not a supporter? Give today!

Accessible Resources: Sensory Kits, Headphones

Accessibility resources and accommodations are available for programs and events. Please email [email protected] with questions and requests. We will make every effort to provide accommodations. Visit our accessibility webpage for more information on accessibility across the museum.
