The Walters has a small but significant collection of works by Impressionist painters, including the visitor favorite “Springtime” by Claude Monet. The recent installation of 19th-century art in Hackerman House at 1 West Mount Vernon Place is an opportunity to look again at some of these popular works. Join Jo Briggs, Jennie Walters Delano Curator, 18th- and 19th-Century Art, to learn about new research undertaken for From Gérôme to Monet: Stories from the 19th-Century Collection, as well as future plans for a larger reinstallation of 19th-century painting.
Collection Connections is a series of onsite and virtual behind-the-scenes experiences with the Walters collection exclusively for supporters of the museum. Registration is required as space is limited. Look for additional details about upcoming supporters-only events on our events calendar and in your inbox.
