The Walters Art Museum Teen Advisory Council (WAMTAC) presents Mythology Mayhem, a Greek mythology-themed takeover for teens, by teens. Activities will take place throughout the museum, including an escape room, fashion designing, an open mic, a game show, a photo booth, themed food, and more.

All-day Activities:
- Fashion Designing/Artmaking — Snag yourself some fabric, markers, and appliques to co-design your best Greek toga or sash and crown in this collaborative activity, then show off your design on a mannequin or at the nearby photobooth.
- Scavenger Hunt — Can you put together the components of Hercules? Solve these riddles to learn more about the Greek God known for his strength. The first 6 people to collect all 6 playing cards will be knighted with a sash declaring them the Victor of the Hunt.
- Photo Booth — Grab your friends and pose for a Polaroid souvenir to take home!
- Food — Enjoy a bite and Greek-mythology themed mocktails. Complimentary tasting available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food also available for purchase.
- Resource Tables — Chat with representatives from Baltimore City teen-centered organizations about arts opportunities that you can take advantage of.
- Quiet Space — Overstimulated by the crowds? Visit our sanctuary with various kinds of seating and sensory kits to wind down.
Timed Activities:
- 2–3 p.m.: Open Mic — Sign up between 1–2pm to give a live performance of your best poem, song, or rendition. $25 prizes given for Best Performances and Audience Choice!
- 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.: Trial of the Gods Escape Room —You’ve angered the Gods! Escape from their wrath within 30 minutes while solving Greek mythology-themed riddles throughout the room. Capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up at the check-in table.
- 3–4 p.m.: Who Wants to Be a Hero? Game Show — Show off your knowledge of Greek mythology learned throughout the day at this interactive game show, where contestants will be chosen from the audience and brought on stage! $25 prizes given each round.
This event is free and open to the public but geared toward teens 13+.
