Use the links below to download resources designed to integrate artworks from the Walters Art Museum’s collection into your existing lesson plan. Each resource lists a recommended grade level and subject area, informed by the Maryland State Department of Education 2024 standards.

Respond to Art

These resources include facts about different artworks, their cultural contexts, and glossaries of terms, as well as creative prompts and discussion questions to help students build creative and critical thinking skills.

Classroom Connect

Classroom Connect provides additional resources, including videos, activity sheets, and a graphic novel, that use themes to explore the collection and to build visual literacy, creativity, and historical and critical thinking skills. The resources available here can be used online or in print to support learning for students with little to no internet access, at home or in the classrooms.
