The Walters Art Museum invites teens to visit after school to strengthen your creative and professional skills, broaden your network of peers, and gain appreciation for cultural differences.

Whether you’re looking for a casual, drop-in program like Teen Lab or want to be more involved, the Walters has a program for you!

Through Our Eyes: Teen Photographers

Develop your photography skills during this 10-week course culminating in a group exhibition! Teens will strengthen their creative skills, use DSLR cameras, and learn from an industry professional. This program takes place annually from March through May 2026.

Teen Lab

The Teen Lab drop-in program offers teens a space to further develop their creative skills and learn about global cultures. During this program, we will explore different cultures represented in the museum through relevant activities, music, and snacks! This program takes place monthly from October 2025 to June 2026.

Teen Advisory Council

The Walters Art Museum Teen Advisory Council (WAMTAC) provides teens with professional experience working on museum projects and programs with a stipend. Gain behind-the-scenes access to museum staff and facilities, share your unique perspective on museum projects, and help develop your own teen program. This program takes place annually from July to August 2026.
