Based on a system of supervised learning, the internships enable interns to understand how a museum operates and how to relate this experience to academic and professional goals. Summer Painting Conservation Intern

This internship provides an opportunity for a conservation graduate student to train under permanent conservation staff in the Department of Conservation and Technical Research to learn approaches to research and current treatment methods for stabilization and study of Ethiopian and European panel paintings.

Requirements:

Must have a bachelor’s degree and be working on a graduate degree in painting conservation from and accredited conservation program.  Must possess good treatment skills and knowledge of conservation materials.
