What: EUREKA! Jewelry Fair at the Walters
The Jewelry Fair brings many of America’s finest jewelers to the Walters’ stunning Sculpture Court where they present and sell their beautiful and inventive creations. Pieces range from the traditional to the contemporary, are constructed from a multitude of different materials and offered at a wide range of prices. Each day there is a free jewelry Treasure Hunt in the galleries with a sign up in the Centre Street Lobby. Find the piece first and keep it! Free gallery talks with Walters’ curators and artisan jewelers are also held throughout the weekend.

What: Opening Night Cocktail Party
Join the Walters Art Museum Women’s Committee on the Sculpture Court for a cocktail party in honor of Eureka! Jewelry Fair at the Walters Art Museum. Mix, mingle and see the work of 20 of America’s best artisan jewelers. Event catered by Daniel Horwitz of The Pantry.

What: Fabulous Fakes Lecture
Master Gemologist and Appraiser Martin Fuller and Walters Director of Conservation & Technical Research Terry Drayman-Weisser conduct a lively discussion and special opportunity to view the Walters’ fabulous fakes followed by a champagne reception.
When: Friday, November 4, 9:30 a.m.

What: Children’s Jewelry Making Workshop
Jeweler Gallen Bensen will provide a sterling silver coin reproduced from one from the time of Archimedes and a leather cord with silver fittings to make a stunning necklace. This will be followed by a personal tour of Walters’ jewelry collections.

What: Enamels & Plique-á-Jour Talk
Leila Tai, jeweler specializing in plique-á-jour (enamel in open filigree), and William Johnston, Walters Curator Emeritus of 18th and 19th Century Art, present an intimate talk in the galleries and  the first viewing of Walters Russian enamels collection followed by a champagne reception.
When: Sunday, November 6, 1 p.m.
