Connect art and life for Walters visitors by becoming a docent.
Docents lead interactive, conversational tours of the collection and special exhibitions for visitors of all ages. No formal art background is necessary to become a docent, but an appreciation for art is required, as is a desire to learn alongside others. Walters docents complete a semester-long training program to provide tours to a wide range of visitors, especially preK-12 students. There are many benefits to being a docent at the Walters, including the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the collection through training, lectures, and symposia.
We are not currently recruiting new docents. Please check back here for updates on future training plans.
