En colaboración con Education Based Latino Outreach, el museo Walters celebra la tradición hispánica del Día de los Tres Reyes Magos. En muchos países latinos, el 6 de enero se devota a celebrar la creencia cristiana en el venir de los Tres Magos quienes le regalaron al recién nacido Jesús. Conocido como la Epifanía, el día es tan importante como la Navidad en México, Puerto Rico, España y en otros países como Italia. La celebración en el Walters muestra espectáculos, actividades de arte, una visita de los Tres Magos y una Rosca de Reyes. Lo que sea su tradición, venga a festejar con nosotros. Ikebana Floral Demonstration by Ikebana International

Held in conjunction with our special exhibition Designed for Flowers: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics, this program, one in a series of three, will feature masters from Ikebana International demonstrating the art of Ikebana for a live audience. Ikebana, a traditional form of artistic expression, combines organic material, most notably flowers, and specially chosen vessels, as seen in the special exhibition, into works of art that are aesthetically unique to Japanese culture.
