Homeschool Workshop The Elements of Art & Design Ages 7-9

The elements of art and design are the building blocks that artists use to create a work of art. In this workshop students will examine paintings and sculptures to learn about the basic elements that artists throughout history have used to compose and create masterpieces.

Explore the Walters through this workshop designed exclusively for homeschool students ages 5-16. Participants enjoy an introduction to the museum, a guided tour, studio activity and post-visit materials.

The Art of Wealth: The Huntingtons in the Gilded Age

Learn more about their phenomenal art acquisitions, which culminated in the founding of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in southern California. Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows. Copies will be available for purchase in the Walters’ Museum Store.
