The Walters Art Museum welcomes families to explore, play, and create together. We invite you to visit our spaces and join us for a variety of programming onsite.

Join us for Drop-in Art-Making, an all-ages-welcome and family-friendly program offered on most weekends between September through June. Visit our calendar for more information.

Looking for more self-guided activities during your visit? 

  • Pick up a gallery guide or sketching supplies at the Visitor Experience Desk by the Centre Street entrance on Level 1. 
  • Play a game of chess in the Great Hall on Level 3 of the Centre Street building.
  • Read books related to our Across Asia: Arts of Asia and the Islamic World installation on Level 4 of the Centre Street building.

Looking to bring the Walters home?. Our digital resources are geared toward children ages 6 to 11 and feature a variety of formats to support busy schedules and learning preference. They include video tutorials for art-making, downloadable activity packets, and coloring pages.
