Members Previews & Opening Events
Beat the crowds and be among the first to see the newest exhibitions at the Walters before they open to the general public. Your membership gives you and your guest(s) an exclusive chance to get an up close view of the latest exhibitions while mingling with other museum supporters and art aficionados. Individual level members have 2 tickets to these events. Dual level members and above have 4. Members are welcome to bring additional guests for $5.00 guest per ticket. RSVP Required.
Members of the Walters Legacy Society are honored at annual private Legacy Society Champagne Teas which include tours of special exhibitions and the permanent collection. Champagne Teas are 2-4 P.M. on Tuesdays, when the Museum is closed to the general public. Learn more about becoming a Walters Legacy Society member.
Prior to the official opening, experience a private look at one of the special exhibitions the Walters brings to Baltimore. This event is open to members at the Patron's Level and above. Learn more about the benefits of joining the Walters as an Annual Giving Circles member.
Curators' Choice Reception
The Curators' Choice reception is a special evening of in-depth discussions by curators of their current projects. The evening commences with cocktails in the Sculpture Court. Subjects of past tours include "A Look in the Lab: Projects in Conservation," "Ancient Portraits: Ancient or Real," and "Renaissance Gems and Jewels." Tickets are available for members at the Curators' Circle level and above.
Every June, join our International Board at a dinner in the Sculpture Court and hear programs about topical museum issues from a director of a nationally prominent museum. This event is available to donors at the Director's Circle and above.
