Celebrate the holiday season at the annual Monument Lighting in Mount Vernon, a joyous event of performances and food culminating with a spectacular fireworks display. In conjunction with Monument Lighting, organized by Mount Vernon Place Conservancy, stop by the Walters Art Museum from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for free activities for all ages. Warm up with hot chocolate (while supplies last!), enjoy performances, and explore our newest exhibition, Ethiopia at the Crossroads.
