FREE International Family Day at the Walters

Presented in partnership with the BCCC’s Refugee Youth Project

FREE ! Join RYP youth in celebration and enjoy multi-cultural family art activities; refugee and immigrant youth art; family oriented films about refugeese and immigrants; a scavenger hunt through the galleries; and RYP and Friends' talent show, “Talents from Around the World!”

Plus: View Healing through Expression, an Advocates for Survivors of Torture and Trauma exhibition.

Listen to audio stories from youth refugees and immigrants, created in partnership with Wide Angle Youth Media.

Enjoy Crossing Borders, an exhibition of photography and poetry created by Patterson High School students during a 6-week VisionWorkshops photography workshop.

Meet representatives from Baltimore refugee and immigrant social service organizations to learn more about refugees and immigrants in Baltimore.

The Refugee Youth Project (RYP) is a Baltimore City Community College program that provides after school academic support and art enrichment programming to Baltimore refugee youth. For the past three years, the Walters has partnered with the RYP to enhance programming through field trips to the museum and outreach projects. To celebrate the end of another successful year of partnership, the RYP and the Walters presents International Family Day.
