Calling all scouts! The Walters Art Museum invites Girl Scouts to learn about the wonderful world of art while earning merit badges. This interactive, two-hour program includes:

  • Guided tour of selected artworks by a trained educator
  • Hands-on art activity based on specific badge guidelines
  • Specially-designed Walters' participatory patch

Just for Brownies! Global Girls

Treasure boxes, secrets, and stories of great travels abound during this special program just for scouts! Along your museum journey, visit the special exhibition, Treasures of Heaven, where you will peek into golden reliquary boxes, then, hear stories of ancient art lost on the high seas!  We view art from across the globe and through the ages! Everyone will make an original masterpiece based on their adventure.

Brownies will work toward their Listening to the Past badge, Junior Girl Scouts will work toward their Globe Trotting badge, and Cub Scouts will work toward their Art Academics Pin or Belt Loop during this interactive, two-hour program!

Pre-registration is required for this program and a fee is due at the time of registration.

Please include all participating scouts' names and ages when registering online.

Price: $10 per scout; no charge for adult chaperones.
