As a part of the Practicing Democracy Initiative, the Maryland Humanities Council and The Stoop Storytelling Series present "Moving Stories: Getting Around Baltimore," a free event that brings Baltimore City residents, workers, bikers, hikers and riders together to discuss transportation issues in a meaningful, respectful way.
Would you like to be a storyteller? Do you have a good story about riding the bus in Baltimore City? Do you feel safe walking or biking around town? Do you take the light rail or subway? Do you get stuck in traffic every morning on the JFX? MHC and The Stoop are looking for storytellers to tell five minute, true, personal stories about their experiences navigating Baltimore-the good, the bad and the ugly! Storytellers will tell true, personal stories about their transportation experiences in Baltimore City. After all stories are told, audience members and storytellers will gather in small, facilitated groups to discuss and debate the ideas they've heard.
