The event will feature a floral arranging competition, or Dutch duel, in which three professional designers and three amateur designers compete in timed rounds of floral arranging. Their challenge will be to interpret works of 17th century Dutch art from the Walters collection. Sloane Brown, Baltimore Sun society and style writer, will be the celebrity host.
Three notable design professionals will judge the duel.
The event is generously sponsored by Potomac Floral Wholesale, Inc.
Following the floral competition, guests will enjoy a seated, Dutch-themed luncheon on the museum’s Sculpture Court.
