A Medieval Life Family Festival

Go on a multi-sensory journey while celebrating the arts and cultures of medieval Europe. Enjoy activities connected to the special exhibition, A Feast for the Senses: Art and Experience in Medieval Europe, as well as the permanent collection of medieval art.

Visitors of all ages will be immersed in the medieval culture through hands-on art-making, cultural performances, storytelling, artist demonstrations, gallery scavenger hunts, and special appearances by our adored mascot, Waltee.

Ballet Theater of Maryland performs Excalibur, a narrative about the Arthurian Legends that includes duets, solos, and theatrical combat sword fights. The excerpts are set to authentic medieval and Celtic music in period costumes.

Terraza Stained Glass
Join Terraza Stained Glass to learn about the process of creating stained glass! Prepare glass that will be soldered into a collaborative stained glass art piece and enter for a chance to win a FREE class at Terraza Stained Glass studio!

Stop by the Conservation Window for a "behind the scenes" look at conservation work in the museum.
