In this workshop, participants will explore the processes of mold-making and casting to create a unique brooch or pendant that features interesting tactile elements. After a tour of the Treasury, which houses the Walters’ 18th-century European and Asian Decorative Arts collection, instructors from the Baltimore Jewelry Center will teach attendees to cast their own costume jewelry mold and create a silicone-rubber replica. Held in conjunction with the Baltimore Jewelry Center’s exhibition Touchy-Feely/Tactile Explorations of Jewelry.
