Homeschool Art Education Programs

Explore the Walters through workshops designed exclusively for homeschool students. Participants enjoy an introduction to the museum, a guided tour, studio activity, and post-visit materials. Learn more about the exciting topics we will explore this school year and register online by clicking on the appropriate session and age group below.

Third Thursday of the month, September–May, 1:15–3:30 p.m.
Members : $5 per child, per workshop
Non-members : $9 per child, per workshop

Pre-registration for homeschool programs is required. Registration forms must be received by the Friday before the workshop. Phone and walk-in registrations will not be accepted. Members enjoy early registration to these and other programs. Not a member? Join today

In this joint workshop, students will spend the morning exploring the MD Historical Society to learn about 19th century life in Baltimore. In the afternoon, students will discover the rich history of the Walters family and the collection that developed into the museum we know today.

In this monthly workshop taught by artists, students develop their drawing skills through observation and practice in the Walters’ galleries. Students may work with instructors during a single session to learn basic drawing skills or attend multiple sessions to build a cohesive portfolio.
