Admission to the Walters is always free. Please consider supporting the mission of the Walters to bring art and people together for enjoyment, discovery, and learning.

Visitor Guidelines

During your visit, please:

Lighten your Load
Store large bags over 11″×15″ and umbrellas in our complimentary lockers. Small backpacks can be worn on the front or carried to the side or placed securely on a wheelchair or stroller.

Take Photos
Photography is encouraged unless otherwise noted. Please turn your flash off, and store tripods and selfie sticks in a complimentary locker.

Visit our Cafe
Enjoy a coffee, a beverage, or a bite in the Walters Cafe.

Protect the Art
Enjoy the objects on display, but do not touch them. No food, drink, or gum in the galleries. Closed water bottles can be stored in a small bag or complimentary locker. Medical exceptions can be arranged with the Visitor Experience team.

Explore with Children
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers are allowed unless otherwise noted. Complimentary strollers are available at the Visitor Experience Desk. Baby carriers may be worn on the front.
