Art Tots Program: The Artist's Apprentice

Explore the Elements of Art! Learning is fun at the Walters for children 2–3 years old and their favorite adults. Each Art Tots class will introduce toddlers to art and the museum through age-appropriate short stories, gallery play activities, and an art activity. Toddler workshops are 60-minutes in length and led by specially trained museum educators.

Art Cubs Pre-Toddler Program: Paint by Number

Art Cubs invites parents, grandparents, and caregivers with children 13–23 months of age to sing and sway in the museum galleries during this 60-minute class. Each program includes activities that strengthen rhythm and movement within our galleries and age-appropriate activities in the comfort of our private studio. Wobbling and waltzing are welcome!

STEM to STEAM: The Science of Art Part 2

In the second workshop of this four-part series, join Walters conservators, scientists and educators to learn about the many connections between science and art. This session will focus on objects from the ancient collection.

Inge Reist will bring alive the personalities of Gilded Age collectors as they formed some of America’s most dazzling and admired collections. Her talk will also explore their motivations and methods of acquisition, as well as their philanthropic legacies. Reist is Director of the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick Collection and Frick Art Reference Library.
