Meet at Centre St. Lobby at 6:15 p.m.
Although today we think of gleaming white marble and red-and-black pottery when we picture ancient Greek art, bronze was a favored material for everything from sculpture to armor, weapons, vases, mirrors, jewelry, athletic equipment, weights, musical instruments and containers of all kinds. Join us for a gallery talk that explores the wide variety of ancient uses for bronze with Dr. Amy Sowder Koch, Towson University Assistant Professor of Art History, and explore the Greek collections from a new perspective.
Please meet at 6:15 p.m. in the Centre Street Lobby. The group will then proceed to the Ancient Greek Galleries.
