The rulers of Venice ruthlessly protect their monopoly on their techniques, so when Corradino sells his secrets to the King of France; he knows he’s risking his life. Centuries later his descendant,  Leonora Manin escapes her unhappy life, determined to apprentice as a glassblower in the city of her ancestors. A gifted artist, her famous last name places her in danger in the ancient foundries when timeless rivalries rise to the surface.
