3rd-5th Grade Summer Art Camp: Heroes: Myths & Mortals (Full Day)

Conquer Kerberos, the Hydra and the Cyclops, but don’t look at Medusa! Learn the strengths and weaknesses of the ancient Greek pantheon of gods, heroes and mythological creatures during this week full of painting sculpture and collage. We’ll go on an epic voyage of art-making, storytelling and gallery explorations. Campers will create hybrid animals, maps of mythic places and let their imaginations take off! At the end of the week we’ll have a show of the many places our heroes have traveled!

Summer Art Camp at the Walters offers kids entering 1st-5th grades a unique and fun-filled summer experience! Join us as we explore art techniques and cultural themes through gallery visits, in-depth art projects and collaborative theater activities. We'll celebrate at the end of each week with camper art exhibitions and presentations. Choose from five weekly sessions (camps are sold by week) and morning or full day class options. All camps are taught by professional artists and museum educators.
