Walk, Wonder, and Create: Walk in Her Shoes

Lace up and double-knot your most comfortable pair of walking shoes as we explore extraordinary women in the arts. Whether behind the easel or modeling as the subject, women have long inspired creativity, storytelling, and social progress. Let the legacy of our honored women inform artworks of your own!

Recommended for ages 6-8. One guardian per two children required.

Graduated from our pre-K program?  Join the big kids and their adults for our popular Walk, Wonder, and Create family tours! For ages 6 and up, this once-a-month 45-minute experience allows families to enjoy an interactive tour of the Walters’ collection and then create artworks that relate to the theme of the tour.

Please note: Online pre-registration required. Spring 2014 (February-July) Program registration will be available in January: January 9 - Member registration begins; January 16 - Public registration begins. Museum members can register early for this popular series!

Seeing Music in Medieval Manuscripts

Teen Homeschool Drawing Workshop

In this monthly workshop taught by artists, students develop their drawing skills through observation and practice in the Walters’ galleries. Students may work with instructors during a single session to learn basic drawing skills or attend multiple sessions to build a cohesive portfolio.
