From forums to homes, from temples and tombs to law courts and theaters, ancient Rome was a city full of statues. “The Secret Lives of Roman Statues” with Marden Nichols, Assistant Curator of Ancient Art leading the discussion, explores the varied contexts for the display of statues in Roman antiquity—and the circumstances that brought a magnificent collection of these statues to the Walters Art Museum.
