Drop-in Art Activities: Reimagining the Renaissance

Let's reimagine life in the Renaissance! Each weekend in October we'll travel back in time to explore art and culture of the Renaissance. Join us as we become master artists creating musical instruments, symbolic coats of arms, art for our tabletops and magnificent ships to sail around the world! Our inspiration this month will come from the special exhibition, Revealing the African Presence in Renaissance Europe.

Every Saturday and Sunday! No registration is required for this free event. Drop-in, make, and take a fantastic piece of art home with you!

Join museum educators as they help families create artful projects related to the collection, special exhibitions, and family programs. Check out our monthly themes and visit often to participate in a different project each weekend!

SCHEDULE OF OCTOBER ACTIVITIES:

  • October 6th and 7th – Lilting Lutes
  • October 13th – Museum Closed Today for a Special Event
  • October 14th – Courageous Coat of Arms
  • October 20th – Free Renaissance Family Festival, 10a.m.-4p.m.
  • October 21st – Inside the Boat
  • October 27th and 28th – Animal Pitchers

Threshold to the Sacred: The Ark Door of Cairo's Ben Ezra Synagogue
