Peabody String Orchestra

The Peabody Performance Academy String Orchestra returns to the Walters to present an exciting program, including the world premiere of Concertino Piccolo by Thomas Benjamin and Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite. The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Jonathan Carney, concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The Performance Academy for Strings, coordinated by Christian Tremblay, is a program that brings together young string players who are seriously committed to their instrument and development as musicians. This performance is the conclusion of a three-week intensive String Orchestra Festival.
