Walk, Wonder, & Create Tour: Path to Peace 11AM

Follow in the footsteps of many important gods and goddesses as we explore Indian art throughout Hackerman House. We will look closely at shiny gold figures, circular paintings and solid stone sculptures that tell us the story of a captivating culture.  Together we will find a peaceful space and use all of our senses to travel across the world to India. We’ll make our way to the studios to create patterned sand mandalas and spread messages of peace.
Recommended for ages 6-8. One guardian per two children required.

Graduated from our pre-k program?  Join the big kids and their adults for our popular Walk, Wonder, and Create family tours! For ages 6 and up, this once-a-month 45-minute experience allows families to enjoy an interactive tour of the Walters’ collection, and then create artwork that relates to the theme of the tour.

Please note: Online pre-registration required. Spring 2013 (February-July) Program registration will be available in January: January 2 - Member registration begins; January 9 - Public registration begins. Museum members can register early for this popular series!

Painter of iconic works of American genre, Richard Caton Woodville (1825–55) led a life of paradox. His humorous characterizations of life, realistic depictions of interiors and use of narrative detail give access to a fascinating period of American and European history.
