Archaeologists and potters alike will uncover the treasures of the ancient Americas.
Navigate through the jungles and mountains of Meso, Central, and South America on a guided tour of our special exhibition Exploring Art of the Ancient Americas: The John
Bourne Collection Gift. As you travel, imagine life in these ancient civilizations, encountering pottery, ceramics, jewelry, instruments, legends and more from
hundreds of years ago. Let your active imaginations take on this quest as you make an original work of ceramic art inspired by this Precolumbian collection. Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts will work towards their Ceramics and Clay badge, and Cub Scouts will work towards their Art Pin or Belt Loop during this two-hour voyage!
Contact (410) 547-9000, ext. 325 or familyprograms@thewalters.org for more information. Pre-registration is required.
